Profile of Alie Islam

 Alpha Alie Bangura known professionally as Alie Islam is a (Muslim) poet, spoken word artist, songwriter, storyteller, rapper, and jingle creator, and also an Islamic Youth ambassador. He is a co-founder of the Pen Language, former vice president of Concern for the Destitute charity organization, and the director of Dress up like a Muslimah. He is also a recording label Islamic artist at the Hikmah Brothers, Sierra Leone Anasheed Brothers, and his production studio Islam Voice Records. He was also signed by a Ghana Muslim TV known as Dope Muslim Television in 2022.


He is credited with popularizing poetry-spoken words. Alie Islam has been at National events reciting his poems at the National Islamic Conference, the Sierra Leone Anti-Corruption commission commemoration, and the ceremony of the Armed forces day at the republic of Sierra leone armed forces. 



After the release of his debut album in November 2021 which was a success for him and his labels, he named the album “Thorns on Throne” and he made a lot of hit poems in the Muslim community with 'Code-19, Muslim women are oppressed Ft Kadijah, Golden Chapters, God, The KING, and SHEʼ and he eventually won his first National Islamic poetry award as best Islamic poem of the year with the poem titled “SHE”. That success follows with a huge amount of features in the Nasheed genre and spoken word as well.


Alie Islam has been cited as an influencer for many young poets in the Muslim community he has been embarking on Dawah in his poems throughout as he said “writing a non-Islamic poem is a waste of ink”. He has been influenced by Islamic figures such as Khawla bint al-Azwar, Imam Malik, Imam Shafi, and Sheikh Hamza Yusuf. 


He has been silent throughout 2022 and he only released one historical poem titled “Muyei” which was another success as well. He has been preparing for another album release in 2023 (this year) and he successfully releases the album's debut poem titled “Colours of Love” which follows with another remarkable poem in which he featured Bizzy Man titled “Muhammad” (SAW). Today he has dropped the album art cover (designed by SK design) with its name “Colours” in which he will be talking about how ALLAH beautifies everything with colours which HE (ALLAH) created and fashion.
